What does it mean to be a connected community in a time where division feels more pronounced than ever both locally and nationally? In the 2026 Friday Forums series, Tacoma On the Go is exploring different ways we can increase connection in our communities through discussions on policy, mobility, and how local leaders can work together across jurisdictions.

In 2025, Tacoma adopted a goal to become a “15-minute city” where people can access all of their daily necessities without needing to drive. But how does a city actually meet that goal and why do we have so much ground to make up?
